There is a very simple difference between banks and credit unions. If you’re with a bank, somebody else owns the interest you pay on your loan. If you have an account with a credit union, you own it!
The people who own banks have to charge extra money on top of their costs because they are profiting off of you. But, at credit unions, everyone who has an account IS AN OWNER, so we give you back any extra money in the form of better rates, better service, and fewer fees. So much better for everyone.

Credit Unions are the best! The question I have is why would you not want to own your institution? Leave the banks join the Credit Unions!
Keep your money local and keep it at a credit union. Why pay more at a bank just to use your own money?
I love my credit union. They really helped me save money when I first got started. They are friendly and have reasonable rules, rates and fees.
Since I’ve joined, I’ve managed to convince 2 of my in-laws to join because of the products here.
Plus, I’m proud to say that I’m part of a cooperative. I’m done giving a for-profit money. I want a local place run by local people.
Credit unions are awesome! It’s so great helping people make the switch from a bank to their local credit union.

I used to have an account with a bank, all they cared about was making THEIR money grow… but at my CU, they care about making MY money grow!
