I actually have a comment and question… why are there age limits… why cant any just play… I would like to play and have a chance..but I am over the age limit… so how would I go about that????
do you think that its fair???
Great question Cindi. MyBank2go was created to hold free events with a safe environment for young adults. The reason there are age limits is because we wanted the 18-34 year olds to feel comfortable in this environment with people around their same age. At this time, MyBank2go has not decided to expand the age limits for these events, therefore anyone outside of the age limit would not be allowed at the events.
Hello Mary,
Thank you for inquiring about this, we always want to make sure we answer any questions participants may have. If your account is still in good standing with one of the ten credit unions that belongs to MyBank2go, than you are still eligible to win the car. The only place where your age takes factor is when it comes to participating in future events because the rules state you must be 18-34 to participate at the events. I hope this answers your question. Thanks MyBank2go.com
I was wondering what your company has done to balance out the video game tournament rules. I played in one of your first tournaments and the game was Halo 3. I won third place but there was several issue with the tournament itself. Such as map choice and players per game. It originally started out as 1v1 but on the last match (The finals) we only had 3 players left and they threw all 3 of us in one game on a very large map. The problem I had with this was there is very little you can control skill wise on a large map with so few players, especially in a free for all type game. My thought would have been instead make a “round robin double elimination” style finals match. Yes this would have taken a little longer but I feel that it would have been a little more balanced when it comes to a skill controlled type game. I still play games online with the first and second place players and we have all agreed that the way that the tournament was played was very unfair to all of our skills and even had personal rematches with completely different outcomes from what had happened that day.
Hi Chris, we definitely understand your concern. That would have been frustrating. We continuously work on the game rules and game play along with GameStop to ensure the most fair and equitable results and game play. These changes have resulted in different games, smaller maps, different elimination structure, and different game rules. Many times we even have to alter the structure the day of the event as many individuals who pre-register for the event do not actually attend the event and many do not pre-register for the event at all. We have streamlined tournaments since the MyBank2Go inception in early 2010 to the tournaments this year and will continue to do so. We do not like to hear about any unpleasant situations at any of our events. Thank you very much for the suggestions and thank you very much for attending the events. We hope to see you at future gaming events which can be checked here at MyBank2Go.com.
You can bring as many friends as you want they would just register at the event the day of.
We suggest signing them up on-line so if the tournement is fills up they have a guaranteed spot.
Thanks for the questions!
Credit unions checking account fees are lower than bank fees.We invite you to sign up with a MyBank2Go participating credit union. After all, it's your money.
And, if you need a car, we offer a first-time car buyer program.

I played in the first tournament and was told I could win a car. Now I can’t? Do 18-34 year olds feel that uncomfortable around me? i’m 35.
